The dead body of a four-year-old boy has been discovered wrapped in brown paper in a large tin trunk at a house on Comyn Road, Clapham Junction in London.

The boy’s mother, Ada Annie Williams has been charged with his murder. The boy appeared to have been strangled and the South Western Police Court heard evidence yesterday that he was a 'cripple’ who had recently spent time in a convalescent home in Hampshire.

The boy’s mother was asked in the court if she had committed the murder and she replied: ‘Yes. I should not have done it had not my husband continually taunted me about the boy.’
