Police seize poteen on islands off Galway

Police in Galway have seized more than one hundred gallons of poteen in Galway. The poteen was being made on Gorumna Island. Police arrived on the island by boat, but were spotted by the poteen-makers who stole away through boglands. Attempts to pursue the men failed, although police did mange to seize stills as well as spirits.
