Kilkenny crowned All-Ireland hurling champions

After a tremendous match at Jones’ Road in Dublin today, Kilkenny were crowned All-Ireland champions for the third year in a row. More than 13,000 people attended the game – many taking special trains to the capital – and they were treated to a thrilling contest, despite the fact that it was played under a downpour.

The final score was Kilkenny 2-4, Tipperary 1-2.
