Cavan man is one of America’s greatest aviator

The great aviator William Bleakley plans to fly to his home county of Cavan next year. Mr. Bleakley, who is famous in America for his flying exploits and for his inventions, plans to fly across Ireland in one of his planes.

Mr. Bleakley has twice cheated death when planes he was flying crashed to the ground. Mr. Bleakley, emigrated to America from Cavan in 1906 and now lives in St. Louis.

He plans to visit his mother on her farm during his visit.
