A huge demonstration in support of Home Rule was held at the Exhibition Building in Melbourne, Australia this weekend. More than 45,000 people heard Dr. N.M. O’Donnell say: ‘This great meeting is probably the largest that has ever been held in Australia. What has it come together for? Primarily, it is to help the cause of Home Rule for Ireland.’

The meeting then heard a series of speeches predicting a prosperous future for Ireland where it would serve as an inspiration to peoples all over the world.
