Aviva Investors' switch to hit jobs

Aviva Investors is to transfer its Irish investment operations to other parts of its business as part of a restructuring. The investment manager is owned by insurance group Aviva.

Aviva Investors says it will keep a customer service centre in Ireland. It says the restructuring is expected to be completed by the end of the first quarter of next year.

The company would not comment on the number of potential redundancies. It currently employs 35 people in Ireland.
