Anglo looking at its future options

Consultants KPMG are understood to be helping Anglo Irish Bank examine various options for the troubled lender's future, including a wind down.

The conclusions will be used as a basis for a restructuring plan for the nationalised bank that must be submitted to the European Commission by the end of the month.

The injection of €4 billion in state capital to the bank must secure EC approval.
