ATSR to create 30 new Tullamore jobs

ATSR in Tullamore is investing €1m which will see the company create up to 30 new high value jobs over the next two years.

The investment programme is supported by Enterprise Ireland and will see the Co Offaly firm's workforce increase to over 50. It will see ATSR expanding its research and development and manufacturing operations and overseas presence.

Automatic Technology Systems and Research Ltd develops and produces controlling systems for emergency vehicles such as ambulances, fire engines and police cars. Set up in 2006, it sells its products in Ireland as well as exporting to markets in the UK, US and Canada.

The company's CEO Eric Gallagher said the company expects to continue expanding the business, growing export markets and increased jobs in the Midlands region and its new Canadian base.
