Airtricity to sponsor Spend Clever campaign
Friday, 11 September 2009 15:30Airtricity and RTÉ are taking part in a major cross-media sponsor partnership, which will see the greener electricity supplier sponsoring the station's 'Spend Clever + Live Better' season.
The new season will consist of television and radio programmes, a website and RTÉ Guide features that offer advice and encouragement on how to survive the challenging times the current recession has thrown up, while also improving people's quality of life.

The deal will see Airtricity as sponsor across the Spend Clever + Live Better output across RTÉ, with TV sponsorship stings around Living Lightly on RTÉ 1 and sponsorship of the dedicated website. On radio, as well as sponsoring Miriam Meets in her new Sunday time-slot, Spend Clever will feature inserts in Mooney, The Business and today with Pat Kenny.
The RTÉ Guide will highlight the radio and television coverage, was well as its own dedicated features, while the station's website, www.RTE.ie will also feature web-exclusive special features.
'RTÉ can work with brands on integrated properties more effectively than any other broadcaster,' commented Gavin McAuliffe, Cross-media Solutions Manager at the station.
'We believe this sponsorship of Spend Clever + Live Better affords us the opportunity to help play a real role in assisting families and individuals across Ireland to reduce their living costs while improving an improved quality of life, and hopefully without having to tighten our belts so much,' said Airtricity's marketing manager Jackie Duggan.
