Big Fish Games promises up to 100 Cork jobs

Up to 100 new jobs have been announced for Cork City by US online games company, Big Fish Games. The new jobs will be created over the next three years.

Based in Seattle, Big Fish Games employs about 350 people developing and publishing what are called 'casual' games for computers and mobile devices.

A 'casual' game usually requires no special skills and can be played in short bursts.

The company said that with the aid of IDA Ireland, it plans to open its European Headquarters at Mahon in Cork City, and to employ up to 100 peple there in the next three years.

Recruitment for these jobs in customer support and games testing is understood to have already begun.
