Blackrock pays €15m for more sites

Property company Blackrock International Land has spent €14.65m on buying additional properties in Ireland and the UK.

In Ireland, Blackrock has acquired 120 acres of land at Corrstown, in north county Dublin. Currently in agricultural use, the property is located off the new M2 Dublin/Ashbourne motorway.

Blackrock says the site is well placed to take advantage of the significant development expected to take place in the area in the next few years.

In the UK, Blackrock has acquired a further 1.7 acres adjacent to its existing properties in the Thames Gateway east of London. Blackrock's combined property holdings in this location now amount to around 15.5 acres. The company says the site has potential for future mixed-use redevelopment, primarily residential.
