Ice snaps up Ildana broadband assets 

Wireless broadband firm Ice Broadband is to buy the assets of Ildana, which went into liquidation in April.

Ildana, which was based in Clonee, Co Meath, provided satellite broadband services in rural areas. It had set up 12 group broadband schemes and had 24 in advances stages of planning.

Ildana collapsed after a proposed €1.2m sale to Pure Telecom fell through.

Ice's managing director is Yvonne Rooney, daughter of former Baltimore Technologies chief Fran Rooney.
