Former Aer Lingus chief joins Aer Arann
Wednesday, 7 June 2006Regional airline Aer Arann has appointed Garry Cullen as its new chief executive. He will take over next month from Padraig O'Ceidigh, who will become executive chairman.
Mr Cullen is a former group chief executive of Aer Lingus, and also previously held a number of other senior positions at the national airline. He resigned from Aer Lingus in February 2000 and was appointed CEO of LIAT, the Eastern Caribbean regional carrier based in Antigua, in April 2000.
Mr O'Ceidigh said Mr Cullen's appointment was an important step in bringing the company to the next stage of its growth and development.
'Garry's proven track record and 35 years experience in the aviation industry will help us to achieve our goal of doubling the size of the airline in the next three years,' he said.
