Quinlan Private completes Savoy sale

A group of investors, led and advised by Quinlan Private, has completed the sale of the Savoy Hotel and Simpson's-in-the Strand restaurant to a company owned by Prince Alwaleed bin Talah Abdulaziz al Saud.

The remaining properties in the Savoy Group, the Berkeley, Claridge's and the Connaught, as well as the Savoy Theatre, will continue under the current ownership of Quinlan Private. The property investment and advisory group bought the hotel chain for £750m last May from the Blackstone Group and Colony Capital.

The hotels will remain under the existing management team led by Geraldine McKenna, a statement from Quinlan Private said.
