Smurfit School of Business ranked fifth in world
Monday, 22 January 2001The Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business was ranked fifth in the world for return on investment, according to a Financial Times survey of the top 100 international business schools. The school, which is part of UCD, was also ranked 14th in Europe among European Business Schools.
A total of 140 schools, out of approximately 2,000 worldwide, were invited to take part in the survey, which is based on MBA students who graduated in 1997, alumni salary increases and diversity within schools.
The survey also ranked the Smurfit School of Business as the leading business school in Ireland, 7th in Europe for graduate salaries, the 7th leading school in the UK and Ireland and 11th in the world for international mobility of graduates.
The survey compares schools internationally, is based on a range of criteria including the views of former graduates, the diversity of the school, the percentage of women faculty, international faculty, women students and international students.
