Name the Calf / Gamhain

Dublin Zoo were always keen to support Bród Club and together we came up with a little competition for na páistí in the second last Bród Episode.

On 16th February The Family Farm welcomed the arrival of a new Simmental calf. Seeing as there is no other animal as distinctively Irish as the bó, Bród Club viewers were given this unique chance to name the calf / gamhain. Suggest a name as Gaeilge for this calf.

The person who we judge to have come up with the most creative and imaginative name as Gaeilge will be the winner and will receive a Family Annual Pass to Dublin Zoo, valid for 1 year.

The winning name “Cócó Milis” was announced on Episode 6 of Bernard Dunne’s Bród Club, broadcast on 9 April 2012.

A Family Annual Pass allows the winning family (two adults and four children) unlimited visits to Dublin Zoo for 12 months from time of activation. It must be activated within 4 months from date of receipt and is valid for 12 months from that date. The pass is non transferable.
