Colin is an acute support nurse in a major hospital in Northern Ireland, and is training to become a fully qualified nurse. He's married and has two kids, a son called Jake (age 12), and a daughter called Charlotte (age 2). His favourite style of music to sing is swing and ballads. He joined operatic societies at a very young age to get himself out there and gain some experience with audiences. As a result he sang with Marti Web, and gained an audition with Cameron Macintosh for a lead in Les Miserables at the age of 17. A talent scout at Universal Records in London recently asked him along to a meeting having heard his voice. Colin has performed as a soloist on UTV'S 'Kelly' show on a few occasions and also on the BBC 1 programme 'Making a Difference'. He is doing The Voice to prove to himself that he could make a living as a singer, and to make a better life for his family, especially his disabled daughter who has a rare genetic disorder known as Rett Syndrome. He calls her his 'Silent Angel'. He also has 2 hearing aids due to sound damage to his ear drums.
