About: After a tumultuous twelve months of emotional ups and down, Ben Tighe is ready to begin the New Year with a bang. "It puts things in perspective," he adds. Of course, Ben's entry into this year's competition has nothing to do with his secret crush on Sharon Corr. "I think she's hot." For his blind audition, Ben created his own rather macho version of a Katy Perry pop standard. Thankfully, he has also avoided the temptation to copy the pop starlet's outrageous purple-tinged wardrobe. Phew!
