Strictly's Ali talks about dance partner

Former 'Strictly Come Dancing' star Ali Bastian has spoken about her friendship with her dance partner, Brian Fortuna, and responded to Arlene Phillip's comments that she has "the passion of a pomegranate" on the dancefloor.

Speaking to The Sun, 'The Bill' actress said she does have a steamy side but "saves it for at home".

Bastian was voted off the show last Saturday night narrowly missing next weekend's final after performing an American smooth and an Argentine tango with Fortuna. According to reports the pair have been dating since meeting on the show.

Speaking to the newspaper she said "Sexy is something I save for at home. I save it for in private. It's not easy being sexy with millions of people watching you. Brian helped me.

"Brian has boosted my confidence so much. He makes me feel sexy and that's the main thing."

Speaking about her dance partner she said: "Meeting Brian has been the best thing about Strictly for me. He's incredible. And he's not bad-looking, so it has helped the hours in the training room go a lot faster. Now I'm out of the competition I'm starting Christmas shopping as I've no excuses now."

Bastian continued: "I hope we'll see each other over Christmas. He's going back to the States and we've both got to do some family stuff but I can't imagine not spending time with him. Brian and I are taking time to get to know each other now. I'd love to go on holiday with him."
