Susan Boyle 'touched' by US reception
A representative for Scottish singer Susan Boyle has said she is "touched" by the reception she has received in the United States.
Boyle gave a live performance on NBC's 'The Today Show' at the Rockefeller Plaza where she was mobbed by fans. The 'Britain's Got Talent' star has been on a whistle stop tour of the US promoting her new album 'I Dreamed A Dream'.
Following her performance at Rockefeller Plaza she was presented with a hand-made quilt made by hundreds of her fans across the world. She is reported to have broken down in tears following the presentation.
Her representative explained to Access Hollywood that "Susan was overjoyed and extremely touched by the gift she had just received and the reception she had from her fans in America."
In an interview on the programme she said that her success had made her become "more of a lady" and she dedicated her performance to her late mother saying "My mother was a very lovely person and very unique and very caring, and I wanted to pay her back by trying to be something, other than what I used to be."
Her album has been a massive success in its first week of release with record sales in the UK.
