Bid to lure Jedward into the jungle?
Dublin twins John and Edward are reportedly on the brink of pocketing £50,000 each to replace Jordan on 'I'm A Celebrity'.
The Sun newspaper reports that TV presenter Phillip Schofield declared he is also keen for the twins to appear on his show in January.
ITV bosses approached John and Edward's 'The X Factor' mentor Louis Walsh yesterday in an outrageous bid to sign them up for the jungle.
According to the paper he flew back to Dublin last night to convince the twins' parents, Brian and Susan Grimes, that joining the show was the best move for their fledgling showbiz career.
ITV chiefs have issued a strict deadline of 5.30pm today for Louis to persuade them.
Simon Cowell also reportedly said it was a "great idea" for them to join the show in the Australian outback.
A source close to the twins told The Sun: "ITV are determined to get the twins. A flight can be arranged in time so they could be in camp by this weekend.
"It would be a nailed on ratings-winning coup if Louis manages to persuade them it's a good move for their career.
"Louis still believes ITV haven't offered enough money. But the twins were completely unknown a couple of months ago and everyone around them is saying they should make hay while the sun shines."
GMTV host Ben Shepherd asked Jedward yesterday morning if they would be interested in joining the jungle.
John asked: "Can we do that? Are we celebrities?" Edward added: "I'm A Celebrity - do we have that title?
"We're up for any challenge, we've got to think about it together and see if it's for us."
