A raunchy teen horror, 'Jennifer's Body' offers plenty of gore with endless amounts of flesh flashing and munching. 'Transformers' star Fox does what she does best; looks hot while delivering hipper than thou dialogue, this time from Oscar-winning 'Juno' writer Diablo Cody.

As the eponymous Jennifer, Fox is a frisky groupie who gets more than she bargained for when she follows her latest crush into the woods. 'The OC's Adam Brody does a cameo as the lead singer of a band so desperate for stardom that they resort to satanic rituals. However, their bid to offer up Jennifer as a virginal sacrifice backfires as a result of their lack of research, much to the chagrin of the local lads who are her meal ticket to survival.

While Fox's performance as the frisky, bloodthirsty bimbo leaves a lot be desired in terms of a rounded character, 'Mamma Mia!'s Seyfried is more convincing as her geeky BFF (Best Friends Forever... I know), subtly named Needy.

At times there are reminders of the quirky and clever tone of Cody's previous gem, but for the main it's difficult to see how the same writer could conceivably create the two. Where 'Juno' is original, realistic and well written, her latest offering is predictable, sexist and corny with über cool chatter, the like of which even 'Gossip Girl' would shy away from. 'Aeon Flux' director Kusama delivers on the gore front but the film clunks along until its obvious demise without any interesting twists or characters to make the journey more pleasurable.

Horror fans may not get a new classic for the collection, but it'll certainly appeal to 13-year-old boys.
