Cole brands Cowell 'rude' and 'annoying'

'X Factor' mentor Cheryl Cole has described fellow judge Simon Cowell as "rude" and "annoying", saying that there is often real tension between them.

According to the BBC, singer Cole said: "There is [tension] on the actual Saturday night, when he starts getting annoying and saying nasty things."

"It gets quite heated backstage, and quite competitive."

"I don't feel like I'm a competitive person. I feel like the best person should win 'The X Factor', whether they're in my category or not," she said.

"But he's so competitive and so rude sometimes that I find myself getting caught up in it... Honestly, he's really annoying. Really annoying."
