Another Girls Aloud singer goes solo

Just as Cheryl Cole slips out of her military get-up following her solo debut on the 'X-Factor', the judge is already facing competition from her Girls Aloud band mate Nadine Coyle.

According to Metro Coyle revealed online that she will cover Take That's 'Back For Good' in her bid for solo success in the charts.

The track fuels speculation about the competition between the two as Coyle also missed Cole's 'X-Factor' performance, unlike the other band-mates.

In what looks like a clear sign she is targeting the US, the LA-based singer has teamed up with American superstars Boyz II Men to re-record the rival boy band classic.

A version of the recording hit the internet this week, signalling Coyle's own run at the charts is just around the corner.

The outing of her Take That attempt comes just days after the 24-year-old revealed her plans on Twitter: "I'm working with a guy called Desmond Child, who's just amazing. I can't believe he wants to work with me."

Child, who has written for Cher, is also behind some of Shakira and Aerosmith's top hits.
