Latest candidate fired on The Apprentice

The latest candidate to get fired by Bill Cullen on 'The Apprentice' is Maria Loughran who project managed the losing team on last night's task.

The Star reports that 33-year-old Maria from Santry in Dublin was the fifth candidate to get the boot.

She was fired after her team lost a task to create an advert for Meteor. The team were deemed to have created the best ad but the obvious team division on display during their pitch was the reason given for them failing the task overall.

Maria brought rowing team-mates Steve Raynor and Samantha Conroy back into the boardroom but later regretted the decision as she said she felt Breffny Morgan should have been fired.

Steve, who acted as director on the task, came in for a lot of criticism from Bill in the boardroom where he was told he had ignored Samantha's suggestions - many of which would have improved the advert.
