New love triangle in Grey's Anatomy?

Former '24' star Kim Raver is joining the cast of 'Grey's Anatomy' as a possible love interest for one of the characters.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Raver will play a new surgeon in the hit series and will make her debut on US television on 12 November.

Her character could cause problems for Owen (Kevin McKidd) and Cristina's (Sandra Oh) relationship.

Speaking to E! Online in August, McKidd said of what lies in store for his character: "Someone comes to the hospital that he was connected to in his past, not his ex-fiancée, but it's somebody we didn't expect.

"I think it could get a little tricky, but exciting and interesting. Hopefully it will bring [Owen and Cristina] closer in the long run."
