Avril Lavigne 'married too young'
Avril Lavigne has split up with her husband because she is too young to settle down, according to reports.
Lavigne wedded the Sum 41 star Deryck Whibley in 2006, at the age of 21.
A source told People magazine: "She married too young and she finally realised that. Avril realised she needs her own life and needs to explore things without him."
Meanwhile, another insider claimed that the pair had been having trouble for six months but added that the split is: "not about Deryck wanting a kid, nor is she dating anyone else".
Lavigne announced the end of her marriage late last week, explaining that she was "grateful" for the time she had spent with Whibley.
She wrote on her website: "He is the most amazing person I know, and I love him with all my heart. Deryck and I are separating and moving forward on a positive note."
