Fern Britton to battle Holly Willoughby

Fern Britton and her 'This Morning' replacement, Holly Willoughby, are set to go head-to-head at this year's UK Television Awards.

According to Now, the nominations have been announced and they both appear in the Best Entertainment Presenter category.

The pair will be up against Ant and Dec, who will be going for a record 9th win, with Paul O'Grady and Dermot O'Leary also competing for the title.

Other nominations include 'Strictly Come Dancing' and 'The X Factor' for Most-Loved Talent Show and 'Gavin & Stacey' for Best Comedy Programme.

'EastEnders' will also be hoping to extend its four-year reign as Best Serial Drama.

The National Television Awards will take place at London's O2 Arena on 20 January 2010.
