Cole reunites couple on X Factor
Cheryl Cole plays matchmakers on 'The X Factor' when she persuades two wannabes to give their engagement another chance.
The Sun reports that Cole's heart is melted when teenage hopefuls Kirsty and Jack reveal that they called off their wedding plans just two weeks earlier.
So when Jack admits he ditched his fiancée over a row about washing-up and nights out, Cheryl wades in.
The Girls Aloud singer, 26, whose marriage to footballer Ashley Cole almost fell apart when he cheated on her in 2008, tells the pair not to split over such a petty row.
When the couple - whose stage name is Combined Effort - belt out Starship's Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now, Jack forgets his words and has to be coaxed on by his ex, who holds his hand.
Clearly moved, the Sun reports that Cole tells Jack: "I think she still loves you, you know Jack." And Simon Cowell tells him: "I think you should ask Kirsty back out."
Finally Jack gives into Cheryl's pleading and the teenagers make up on stage - to the delight of the 2,000-strong Cardiff audience.
A source added: "It was a tender moment. Everyone cheered.
"Cheryl wasn't taking no for an answer and the pair looked genuinely relieved to be back together. It looked like no one wanted to make the first move - it was all down to Cheryl."
