Ted Hope- Galway Film Fleadh
The Galway Film Fleadh, which began yesterday is now in full swing and runs until the end of this week.
This year - the 21st Fleadh - offers another busy programme of screenings, interviews and industry masterclasses.
One of those classes - the Producers' Masterclass - will be led by the American film producer Ted Hope.

MBNA International Music festival
- The MBNA International Music festival gets under way in Limerick this week.
One of the star attractions this year is Jennifer Pike who, at twelve years of age, was the youngest ever winner of the BBC's Young Musician of the Future Competition. That was in 2002 and since then she's performed with all the UK's major orchestras and the Vienna symphony orchestra. 
Vincent Woods talks to Jennifer Pike and Anthony Marwood, Musical Director of the Festival . Jennifer was accompanied on piano by her father, composer Jeremy Pike. This is Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso by Saint-Saens.

- English born writer MJ Hyland was nominated for the 2006 Booker Prize for her novel Carry Me Down.
Her new book, This is How, tells the story of Patrick Oxtoby, an awkward and mildly dysfunctional young motor mechanic, plagued by ``social nerves''
