Apprentice star Kate lands TV job

'The Apprentice' runner-up Kate Walsh has been given a presenting slot on 'GMTV', say reports.

Digitalspy quotes The Sun as saying that Walsh will host a segment on the ITV morning show about "what women should wear in the office". Lorraine Kelly will apparently co-host with Walsh.

"Kate is desperate to get a career in telly," said a source. "She did a screen test for 'GMTV' and they liked her.

"The plan is for her to do some stuff with Lorraine and then get something regular."

The 27-year-old, who is currently dating fellow Apprentice candidate Philip Taylor, lost out on the £100,000-a-year job with Alan Sugar to Yasmina Siadatan.
