Parker and Broderick welcome twins

Actors Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick have announced the arrival of healthy twin daughters on Monday afternoon via a surrogate mother.

In a statement confirming their arrival the couple said "The babies are doing beautifully and the entire family is over the moon".

People reports that the twins were born in Ohio. Marion Loretta Elwell weighed in at 5lbs, 11oz while her sister Tabitha Hodge Broderick was slightly heavier at 6lbs.

44-year-old Parker and 47-year-old Broderick are already parents to six-year-old son James Wilkie.
