Simpson back on TV with beauty show

Six years after first appearing in 'Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica', Jessica Simpson is returning to TV screens with a new beauty-themed series.

Billboard reports that Simpson will present the VH1 documentary series 'The Price of Beauty', which will see her travelling the world and meeting local women and pop culture icons.

The series will see Simpson investigating fashion, diets and beauty treatments in the countries she visits.

Commenting, she said: "I have always believed that beauty comes from within and confidence will always make a woman beautiful, but I know how much pressure some women put on themselves to look perfect."

Shooting on 'The Price of Beauty' is due to begin in the middle of July.
