Irish Eurovision dream is over
Ireland has failed to get through to the final of this year's Eurovision Song Contest.
Despite a strong performance from Sinéad Mulvey and Black Daisy, the song 'Et Cetera' was not one of the 10 selected from Thursday night's semi-final line-up in Moscow.

Speaking afterwards, Mulvey said that the members of the band were very disappointed that they did not qualify but were still happy with their performance on their night.
In an interview with RTÉ's 'Morning Ireland', Mulvey said: "We couldn't have done any more. We gave [sic] our heart and soul into that performance."
When asked about the future, Mulvey replied: "Do you know what? I think there's going to be a lot more of me and Black Daisy. There are so many people already giving offers and asking for different things."

She later added: "As far as Ireland is concerned, I think that we stand a really good chance in the music business when we come back, so we're delighted about that."
Mulvey said that she and Black Daisy would have no interest in representing Ireland at the Eurovision again.
"No, we wouldn't go back to the Eurovision," she said. "We've done our thing now. We've shown what we can do for Ireland and we know the majority of Ireland are [sic] proud of us, so that's all we can do."
Twenty songs chosen from the semi-finals will now take part in Saturday night's final, along with automatic qualifiers Russia, Spain, Germany, France and the United Kingdom.
