Once stars Hansard & Irglová not an item

Glen Hansard has said that he and his Oscar-winning 'Once' co-star Markéta Irglová are no longer an item.

When asked by the Sydney Morning Herald about their off-screen romance, Hansard said: "It did become a real relationship. I think it was just a very natural part of what we were doing together. We had made the film. We had gone through so much with the Oscar. Of course, we fell into each other's arms."

He continued: "It was a very necessary part of our friendship but I think we both concluded that that wasn't what we really wanted to do. So we're not together now. We are just really good friends."

Hansard and Irglová are currently on tour as the Swell Season and will play a charity show in Dublin's Vicar St on 5 February.
