Aniston defends criticism of Jolie

Jennifer Aniston has been defending her labelling of Angelina Jolie's past behaviour in Vogue as "uncool".

Speaking on The Oprah Winfrey Show, Aniston explained her response to the magazine's question about Jolie: "I basically just answered it as honestly as I could".

Talking candidly for the first time since her split from Brad Pitt in 2005, the star voiced her discontent to Vogue about Jolie publicly time-lining her relationship with Pitt while he was still married to Aniston.

The 39-year-old reserved kinder words for her ex-husband: "He's done some amazing things in the last couple of years. So I just think he's doing great."

Aniston and her ex both have films opening on Christmas Day in America, ' Marley & Me' (which was partly filmed in Ireland) and 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button' respectively.

Speaking to Oprah about the films, she said: "We all want our movie to do well. Can we have a tie?"

As for her current love life, involving on-again beau John Mayer, Aniston said: "I've been unbelievably lucky in love.

"It just might not look the way it's supposed to look at this point."
