Wahlberg insists no chance of music comeback

Actor Mark Wahlberg has vowed not to return to his musical roots because he's found his calling in film.

According to Contactmusic.com Wahlberg insists he has no plans to return to the mic.

He says: "I just felt like I wanted to do music early on and then when I started acting I had to wait until I could do another record anyway.

"And two or three records in, I really felt like I had found my niche."

Wahlberg first rose to fame as a rapper after his 1991 debut with Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch.

Wahlberg admitted that he's desperate to hide his musical past from his three young children.

He added: "I'm trying to figure out some way to destroy the evidence. I have a few years to come up with a good excuse but I have a lot of explaining to do!"
