Treanor out of Dancing with the Stars

Beach volleyball champion Misty-May Treanor has been forced to withdraw from the US dance show 'Dancing with the Stars' due to an injury.

Eonline reports that the double-Olympic gold winner had to withdraw after rupturing her Achilles tendon on Friday during a practice session.

Following the announcement the 31-year-old said "I was actually really excited because this was the first dance I was going to do in sneakers, so go figure, I am out, but I'm not out of cheering on the competitors and keeping in touch with everybody."
