'Godfather' is named favourite in poll

Top film-makers including Quentin Tarantino, Sam Mendes, Mike Leigh, Guillermo Del Toro, Cameron Crowe and Pedro Almodovar have named The Godfather their favourite movie of all time in a new survey.

Two Martin Scorsese films ended up in the film-makers' Top 10 in the poll, which was conducted by Empire Magazine - Raging Bull, which finished second and 'Taxi Driver', which is in fifth.

The 1952 classic 'Singin' In The Rain' was third, while, according to PA, the film-makers' list also found room for the 1966 Russian film 'Andrei Rublev', which is in tenth.

It won't stick in the memory like, say, a 'Monsters, Inc' or 'Lilo and Stitch', but 'Astro Boy' is a fairly quick 90 minutes.

Some brilliant moments but sadly, for a film about losing one's virginity, it doesn't go all the way.
