Mad Men, 30 Rock among Emmy winners

'Mad Men' and '30 Rock' were among the big winners at the Primetime Emmy Awards in the US last night.

'Mad Men' was named Best Drama while '30 Rock' was named Best Comedy.

Between the Creative Emmy Awards on 13 September and last night's ceremony, 'Mad Men' won six Emmys in total with '30 Rock' taking seven, including Best Comic Actor and Best Comic Actress for its stars, Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey.

HBO's miniseries 'John Adams' won 13 Emmys in total, including awards for stars Paul Giamatti, Laura Linney and Tom Wilkinson.

Glenn Close was named Best Actress in a Drama for her performance in 'Damages' while Bryan Cranston was the surprise winner of the Best Actor in a Drama award for his performance in the new series 'Breaking Bad'.
