Tearful Jade Goody returns home
Former 'Big Brother' star Jade Goody has returned home to the UK after being diagnosed with cervical cancer while taking part in an Indian reality television show.
The 27-year-old mother-of-two left the show 'Bigg Boss', presented by Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty, yesterday after speaking to her consultant over the telephone during a diary room trip.
Goody arrived at Heathrow Airport last night after a seven-hour flight from Mumbai in India.
The star reportedly told airport staff: "I don't want any more, I can't do this."
Goody then broke into tears when confronted with a group of photographers in the airport.
A source said: "She seemed OK as she got off the plane, but as she was walking through the terminal she just broke down. She seemed really upset."
Goody's reaction to the news of her cancer is expected to be screened on Indian television.
A TV production insider said: "They have been talking to her about how she would like it handled.
"She was told they wouldn't broadcast anything that she was not happy with. But Jade said, 'Let's just deal with this head-on. There are going to be lots of questions and so-on'.
"The conversation she had with her doctor was entirely private and not recorded.
"Jade came out from that and said to her housemates what she had been told. Everyone was pretty shocked. She was extremely upset. It was clear from that point that she had to leave."
