"Be dignified in defeat," says Dustin

Following his loss in last night's Eurovision Song Contest Semi-Final, Dustin the Turkey has made an appeal to his fans.

Speaking afterwards to RTÉ News' Gareth O'Connor, Dustin said he was disappointed not to qualify for the final and urged his fans to be dignified in defeat.

RTÉ said it was disappointed as the performers had put their heart and souls into the act.

The head of the RTÉ delegation in Belgrade, Michael Kealy, said the outcome showed how unpredictable the Eurovision Song Contest had become.
