David Simon Interview

It has been described as "the best show you've never heard of" but the HBO drama series 'The Wire' is gaining new fans every day.

Created by David Simon, 'The Wire' chronicles the lives of those on both sides of the law in the US city of Baltimore and is now in its fifth and final series on US TV.

Simon, whose credits also include the acclaimed book and Emmy-winning miniseries 'The Corner' and the book 'Homicide: A Year on the Killing Streets' - later to become the TV series 'Homicide: Life on the Street' - was in Ireland last week where he was Ryan Tubridy's guest on 'The Tubridy Show'.
