Kerry Katona denies bankruptcy claims

Kerry Katona has denied claims that she is on the verge of bankruptcy due to her spending habits.

Earlier this week, The News Of The World reported that the former Atomic Kitten singer had spent £1.5m (¤2.1m) in the last year alone and that she is unable to pay off a huge tax bill for £200,000 (¤280,000) to the Inland Revenue.

The newspaper alleged that she had to get in insolvency experts as she was unable to deal with her debts.

However Katona has said: "It's rubbish. There are absolutely no financial problems. My accountant has been dealing with the Inland Revenue and it's all been sorted. The newspaper never checked before printing these ridiculous allegations."
