Captain Pike cast in new Star Trek
The actor who will play the Starship Enterprise's first captain, Christopher Pike, in 'Lost' creator JJ Abrams' new 'Star Trek' movie has been announced.
The Hollywood Reporter says that actor Bruce Greenwood, whose credits include the films 'Double Jeopardy' and 'Rules of Engagement', will play Captain Pike.
The trade daily says that the character of Pike appeared in the original pilot episode of 'Star Trek', which was never aired, and later featured in a two-part episode of the original series.

The new 'Star Trek' movie began shooting yesterday.
