Kid Rock arrested after Waffle House row

Musician Kid Rock was arrested yesterday after an alleged fight in a Waffle House restaurant in Atlanta.

Police confirmed that the 36-year-old star and five members of his entourage were arrested at around 5.15am after an argument with another man at the restaurant developed into a physical fight.

DeKalb County Police said: "Rock along with five members of his entourage were charged with one count of battery, which is a misdemeanor."

"The victim... was treated and released at a local hospital for his injuries," the police said.

Mekka Parish, spokeswoman for DeKalb police, said that the Waffle House restaurant decided to press charges against the man who was fighting with Rock and his entourage because a window had been smashed in the row.

The spokesperson also said that Rock left the scene of the fight in his tour bus but was stopped and arrested about a mile away from the scene. He was later released on bond.

Kid Rock achieved his first number one album last week with 'Rock N Roll Jesus'.
