Portman joining Jim Sheridan drama

Natalie Portman is to star opposite Tobey Maguire and Jake Gyllenhaal in 'Brothers', the new film from Irish director Jim Sheridan.

Variety reports that the drama is a remake of the multi award-winning Danish film 'Brřdre', which was directed by Susanne Bier.

It tells the story of a man (Maguire) who is sent to fight in Afghanistan while his misfit brother (Gyllenhaal) cares for his wife (Portman) and child.
