Gay wedding planned for Emmerdale

'Emmerdale' is reportedly gearing up for its first gay marriage, with characters Jonny Foster and Paul Lambert to tie the knot.

According to the Daily Star, the pair will get married after Jonny (Richard Grieve) proposes to Paul (Matthew Bose) next week.

A source told the paper: "Jonny has been feeling increasingly insecure about his relationship with Paul and turns to Chas Dingle for advice. She's good mates with Paul and tells Jonny the lad has fallen head over heels for him but is looking for more commitment.

"So when he spots him chatting to another fella he stuns him by popping the question."

However, it seems there might be a few complications on their way to the aisle with Paul still carrying a torch for married lawyer Grayson Sinclair.

The source added: "With so many hearts on the line, it can only end in tears."
