Winehouse talks about 'terrifying' ordeal

Singer Amy Winehouse has spoken about being rushed to hospital last week, describing the experience as "terrifying".

A statement issued by the singer's spokesperson said that she was suffering from "severe exhaustion", however a number of tabloids claimed that the hospital visit was connected to a drugs overdose.

Speaking to the News of the World, Winehouse said: "I don't know how to explain what happened. I don't really know myself."

"I can't remember what I looked like. I couldn't recognise myself. It was terrifying. I was terrified," she said.

The singer reportedly said: "I was so out of control. It just happened. It shocked me. I'm sorry. I just don't know what got into me. I never want to feel that way again."
