Go-ahead for OC creator's new show

While the end of 'The OC' has been announced, the show's creator Josh Schwartz has been given the green light for a pilot episode of a new series called 'Gossip Girl'.

Variety reports that the teen drama is based on the series of books of the same name; it is set in the world of New York teenagers and their parents, as told by an anonymous blogger.

Schwartz has also got the go-ahead for a pilot episode for a new series called 'Crumbs'.

It is described as an action-drama about spies and twentysomethings.
